Kuala Lumpur, 8 October 2025 — Japanese real estate leader Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Malaysia Sdn Bhd has formed a joint venture with Malaysian developer S P Setia Bhd to develop a new residential precinct comprising 683 landed housing units within the “Setia EcoHill” masterplan in Semenyih, Selangor. The project will be executed through Mitsui Fudosan’s local subsidiary, based in Kuala Lumpur.
This participation marks Mitsui Fudosan’s sixth residential for-sale housing project in Malaysia. Including logistics, rental housing, and commercial facility projects, the company is now involved in a total of 10 projects in the country. The project represents Mitsui Fudosan’s first entry into the landed housing market in Malaysia.
The Property is the final phase of the “Setia EcoHill” master plan, which comprises of approximately 7,000 residential units, retail mall, an international school, and other amenities. This newly announced project represents the final phase of the landed house development in Setia EcoHill.
The homes will be located within a gated community with 24-hour security, along with affluent green spaces and parks. The development also plans to incorporate sustainable and smart features such as EV charging stations and smart locks.
In collaboration with our joint venture partner, and S P Setia Berhad (Location: Selangor, hereinafter S P Setia”), Mitsui Fudosan aims to capture solid housing demand in Malaysia by leveraging the combined strengths of both companies’ strengths in product planning and project execution.
